How do you sum up nine wonderful years in a couple of paragraphs? I don't think it is possible.
Hannah's story is one of hope, courage and most of all love.
Hannah is adopted. My sister, Kim is her birth mother. There have been some struggles with this fact over the years, but to Hannah it just means she has more people who love her!
Terry and I knew that we would be adopting her before she was even born. I went to doctor's appointments, ultrasounds and was the only family in the operating room when she was born. What a moment I will always share with my sister!
When we left the hospital and my sister went home with my parents and I went home with Hannah, I was overwhelmed with joy, grief, guilt and gratitude all at the same time.
Since that day, we have all come to realize how much Hannah was meant to be in our family. She made Terry and I parents and we will always treasure the spirit that was so eager to come to us that she was willing to come under the circumstances that she did.
Thank you Hannah for letting us be your parents! We love you.

Hannah,
What a beautiful person you are becoming. You've blessed your parents from the first moment they knew you were theirs. What a cutie!
